Fill in the form, it takes about 5 minutes. In it you also choose how you sign the power of attorney: on paper by post or electronically. You then choose your payment method and pay the annual fee. As soon as both sides have signed the power of attorney, you receive the order confirmation with the invoice, our representative ID and your personal guide for the LUCID registration.

Order and pay
You fill in the form and pay the annual fee, which takes about 5 minutes.
Sign the power of attorney
You receive the power of attorney right after the payment. On the postal way as a PDF by email: print, sign, send us the original. With the e-signature the signature service invites you by email to sign in your browser.
Receive the representative ID and your guide
As soon as the power of attorney is signed by both sides, we send you the order confirmation with our authorised representative ID and your personal LUCID guide.
Enter us in LUCID as your representative
You register in LUCID using the guide, if not done yet, and enter our ID in the field "Authorised representative".
We confirm, you ship
LUCID notifies us, we confirm the authorisation, and the packaging register informs you about it directly by email. From then on you may ship to Germany.

The packaging register requires one of the 2 numbers. If you have an EU VAT number, that is enough. Without one, enter the taxpayer reference number under which your company is registered in its home country.

For our invoice: without a valid EU VAT number we charge German VAT. With a valid number the reverse charge procedure applies, and we verify the number automatically.

The packaging register requires an official identification number of your company, the type of that number and the body that issued it.

LUCID requires at least one entry. If you have no brand, enter your company name. If you sell through marketplaces, your shop names belong here too.

Your packaging volumes

Our packaging is already licensed with a dual system for licence year 2026.
Then you only pay the 170 € for the representation and can leave the quantity fields empty. From licence year 2027 we take over the licensing within your contract term. Please keep an eye on the notice period with your current licensing provider. We deliver exclusively as freight on pallets to business customers, no shipping of individual parcels.
Only then is the licence fee dropped, because transport packaging (pallets, stretch film, strapping) is not subject to system participation: you pay only the 170 € for the representation and leave the volume fields empty. Note: shipping boxes from parcel shipping must always be licensed, even when shipping to business customers that use the goods themselves.

An estimate for 12 months, in kilograms per material type. If in doubt, weigh a few typical shipments and extrapolate. Leave fields empty that do not apply. After the year we settle with the actual volumes.

Signing the power of attorney

By post, as the original (we recommend this)
After payment you receive the power of attorney as a PDF by email. Print it, sign it and send us the original by post, a scan or fax is not sufficient. Cost: only your postage. Without losing time: e-mail us a photo of the signed power of attorney and of the postal proof of posting, then we continue right away. You do not have to wait for the original to reach us. Electronically, with ID verification (no postal mail)
You sign online through our signature partner Skribble. This requires a one-time identity check. The external verification service charges 24.50 € for it, payable directly there. The fee goes entirely to the verification service. Requirement: a valid passport (EU citizens may also use their national ID card) and a smartphone. Without these documents, please choose the postal route.
